The Village Project, Inc.

ABOUT US

The Village Project (TVPI) is a newly established, non-profit, tax-exempt, organization. It was created to provide culturally-appropriate services to the African American population in order to address unmet needs that existed in that community. While the focus of TVPI is to serve African Americans, TVPI is also committed to providing services to anyone who needs them.

While our current services focus on mental health counseling, we also have a parenting program and psycho-educational support groups for youth. We are excited that this agency exists and look forward to providing many other services in the future.

In 2013 TVPI created the Health Equity & Social Justice Program, whose primary responsibility is serving the Seaside community to better understand their rights regarding Prop 47, gain support on reducing their felonies, and walking them through the process. Through this program TVPI provides free support services to community members seeking to get their eligible felonies reduced.
